Yarn Travels is a Kathmandu-based travel management company supporting NGOs, universities, foundations, embassies, development partners, responsible businesses, and retreat teams with complex travel, visas, meetings, retreats, field movement, and reporting.
We were built for organizations whose travel requires attention to the details that keep travelers at the center: accessibility needs, realistic layovers, late-night arrivals, urgent route changes, visa risks, local context, and the reassurance of knowing someone is paying attention.
Our work brings together institutional discipline and human care along with clear coordination, practical documentation, local knowledge, traveler support, and a deep understanding of how movement actually happens across Nepal, South Asia, and beyond.
A global travel partner for purpose-led movement.
Yarn Travels works from Kathmandu with a grounded understanding of Global South travel realities: domestic routes, field logistics, visa barriers, accommodation options, venue sourcing, supplier coordination, and the specific needs of international and local organizations operating across the region.
Our team supports clients across travel planning, delegate coordination, visa documentation, meetings, retreats, field visits, and institutional reporting.
We are especially suited for:
Institutional expertise. Care-centered delivery.
Yarn Travels came about after we saw how purposeful travel lacked the care and attention that it demands: the need for a partner that understands both institutional requirements and the care that travelers require along with the understanding of how people of different worlds move across borders. Some flash passports while some need to prepare at least 90 days ahead.
Many organizations need more than ticketing. They need visa guidance, route planning, accommodation match, field transport, supplier records, donor-ready documents, traveler care, and someone who can respond when plans change.
Yarn supports this work through structured travel coordination, clear communication, and practical reporting support without losing the human attention that complex journeys require.
We are not built around transactional booking. We are built around relationships, care, and the belief that travel should be easier to manage without becoming less human.
